Campbelltown is a suburb and major center in the metropolitan area of Sydney, located in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated approximately 50 kilometers southwest of the central business district of Sydney.

The town is named after Governor Lachlan Macquarie's wife, Elizabeth Campbell. It was founded in 1820 and served as a major centre for the pastoral and agricultural industries of the region.

The population of Campbelltown is approximately 170,000, according to the 2016 census. It is a vibrant community with a mix of residential, commercial and industrial areas.

There are several landmarks and attractions in Campbelltown, including the Campbelltown Arts Centre, Campbelltown Stadium (home to the Wests Tigers Rugby League team), and the Campbelltown Mall shopping center.
